Your Role and Responsibilities

Working as part of a collaborative, committed team, the successful candidate will provide high-quality, therapeutic care across a structured shift pattern. Core responsibilities include:

  • Delivering standard-setting, 24-hour care to vulnerable young people within a residential environment.

  • Supporting service users dealing with complex emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties (EBD) resulting from early trauma.

  • Fostering independence and confidence by accompanying young people to educational routines, school, and community activities.

  • Maintaining strict clinical and professional boundaries in line with National Care Standards.

  • Partnering effectively with existing team structures to cultivate a safe, nurturing, and stable environment.


What We Need From You

To thrive in this fast-paced and deeply rewarding sector, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: A proven professional background within a residential setting working specifically with young people.

  • Registration: A valid PVG registration (or a willingness to join the scheme) is essential.

  • Qualifications: An SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or an equivalent qualification) is highly desirable, though candidates actively working towards this will be considered.

  • Licence: A full UK driving licence is preferred to facilitate community engagement.

  • Attributes: Strong interpersonal communication skills, excellent adaptability, and a proactive attitude.
