Site Agent / Site Manager – Midlands (West Mids / East Mids) Civil Engineering (Highways / Flood Prevention, Power / Substations)

Opportunity to join a reputable and longstanding civils main contractor, with a very stable and growing forward order book across a variety of civils sectors including Highways, Flood risk and Power / Sub stations. Very stable business ideal for long term job security.

Opportunity:

Ideal for an already experienced Site Agent or Project Manager, or alternatively would consider a Senior Site Engineer or Sub Agent looking for promotion to Site Agent.

Location:

Long term local projects in the West Midlands and East Midlands

Role & Responsibilities:

As Site Agent your duties will include:

 

-Delivering a number of projects concurrently, with project values usually in the region of £200k - £400k each.

-Reporting to the Contracts Manager.

-Ensuring safe systems of work and the Company Safety Policy are practiced.

-Line management/supervision for Sub Agents & General Foreman

-Manage site level Safety, Health, Environment and Quality

-Produce safe, efficient sites in line with triple ISO accreditation.

-Strong Leadership and man management with site teams.

-Working in busy process driven environments.

-Engage in ECI

-Review project status via project programmes, weekly returns and monthly reporting.

-Develop accurate cost forecasts and manage commercial aspect of project.

-Contractual awareness

 Requirements:

To be considered for this Site Agent role you must meet the following criteria:

-Civil Engineering/Construction management degree

-Previous Civil engineering sector project experience such as Highways, Infrastructure, Water, Flooding or Power.

-Strong man management & leadership skills

-Valid CSCS card advantageous but not mandatory.

-Ideally previous project planning experience using MS Project (but not essential)

-Previous experience working as Site Agent, Site Manager, Senior Site Engineer or Sub Agent.

-Potential for out of hours call out.

-Good Communication and IT skills (MS suite).
