Site Engineer

Site Engineer | Main Contractor | Yorkshire | £50k - £55k + Package

We’re currently working with a well-established main contractor to recruit a Site Engineer to support the delivery of projects across Yorkshire within the commercial, education and public sectors.

This role would suit an Engineer who enjoys being heavily involved on site, working closely with operational teams and playing a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, accurately and to a high standard.

The business has a strong regional presence, a secure pipeline of work and an excellent reputation for quality delivery and staff development.

What You’ll Be Doing;

• Taking responsibility for setting out and engineering control on site
• Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and QA standards
• Producing and maintaining accurate site records and as-built information
• Supporting cost control through clear record keeping of progress and variations
• Liaising with Project Managers, consultants and design teams to resolve technical issues
• Supporting health, safety and environmental compliance on site
• Assisting with temporary works and lifting operations where required
• Supporting overall project delivery through to completion

What You Will Need;

• Degree / HNC in Construction or Civil Engineering or similar
• Previous experience as a Site Engineer within a main contracting environment
• Strong setting out and surveying background
• Confident using total stations and survey equipment
• Good understanding of QA processes and site documentation
• Ability to interpret drawings and resolve technical issues on site
• Strong communication and organisational skills
