The Role
This role is ideal for an experienced planning professional who thrives on major projects within highly regulated environments. You will take the lead on managing national contractors and overseeing multi-million-pound packages of work, ensuring project milestones are met with precision. This is a permanent staff position working in London 3 days per week with 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Assurance: Liaise directly with the supply chain to ensure contract compliance across all schedule-related information.
Schedule Delivery: Own and successfully deliver the integrated schedule and all associated scheduling data for your specific scope of work.
Progress Reporting: Support the wider scheduling team with progress reports, including regular schedule updates, forecast-to-complete metrics, variance identification, and opportunity mapping.
Performance Analysis: Ensure the on-time delivery and high quality of month-end Integrated Work Schedule (IWS) forecasts, baselines, and performance reports.
Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of Sizewell C (SZC).
What You'll Need to Succeed
Education & Frameworks:
A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Business Analysis, Finance, Accounting, or a related technical field.
Strong knowledge of Project Management techniques (aligned with APM Guidelines or similar professional bodies).
A solid understanding of CDM regulations and their impact on project scheduling.
Familiarity with the Design process and Construction Management principles.
Technical Skills:
High proficiency in Primavera P6.
Experience with various contract suites (such as NEC and FIDIC) and how they interface with the schedule.
Deep understanding of Schedule Hierarchy, Schedule Integration, and Schedule Change processes.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
The ability to develop programmes from first principles as well as review and assure supplier-submitted programmes.
Experience & Attributes:
Proven experience working on major, complex programmes and highly regulated projects.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and consistently deliver high-quality outputs within tight timeframes.
