Robot Welder – £15.25 per hour – 2 Shift Rotation

Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting a leading manufacturing business in their search for a Robot Welder to join their production team.

This position will begin on dayshift for induction and training before transitioning onto a 2-shift rotation, offering a competitive hourly rate of £15.25 per hour once shifts commence.

The Role

As a Robot Welder, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring robotic welding equipment, ensuring all components are produced to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Operating and monitoring robotic welding machinery
• Performing welds on various material thicknesses
• Removing weld spatter during machine cycle times
• Reading and interpreting SOPs and technical drawings
• Inspecting finished components to ensure specification compliance
• Using manual power tools safely and effectively
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment
• Following all company health and safety procedures

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience operating robotic welding equipment
• Experience using manual power tools
• The ability to interpret technical drawings and SOPs
• Strong communication skills and a positive work ethic
• A keen eye for quality and detail

Desirable:

• Basic manual welding experience

Pay Rates

• Dayshift: £12.71 per hour
• 2 Shift Rotation: £15.25 per hour (inclusive of 20% shift premium)

Hours of Work

Training / Dayshift

• Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 12:30pm

2 Shift Rotation

Week 1 – Days

• Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 2:30pm
• Friday: 6:00am – 12:30pm

Week 2 – Afternoons

• Monday – Thursday: 2:30pm – 11:00pm
• Friday: 12:30pm – 7:00pm

Please note: the business reserves the right to move to a 3-shift pattern in the future following consultation.
