Contract Manager – Durham

We are currently partnering with an established UK contractor within road marking and highway maintenance in their search for an experienced Contracts Manager to lead operations across the North East.

This role has full responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of existing local contracts, while also playing a key role in growing the regional operation. You’ll manage site teams, act as the main client contact, support recruitment, and help establish a central operational base as the business expands.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage operational and commercial delivery of regional contracts
• Act as primary client and stakeholder contact
• Lead, develop, and grow site teams
• Plan works and ensure compliance with H&S and quality standards
• Manage budgets, reporting, and support regional growth

About You

• Background in road lining, road marking, or traffic management (preferred but not essential)
• Experience managing highway or local authority contracts
• Commercially aware, self-motivated, and comfortable working autonomously
• Strong leadership and communication skills
