Pressing & Rolling Operative
Pay Rate: £15.00 – £17.50 per hour (DOE)
Hours: Typically 07:00 – 15:00, Monday to Friday (flexibility required across shifts)
Start Date: Immediate
Overview
We are currently looking to recruit a Pressing & Rolling Operative to join a busy manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in plating or fabrication who are looking to further develop their skills in a specialist area.
Due to the nature of the role, candidates with previous plater/fabricator experience are strongly encouraged to apply, as these transferable skills will support a smooth transition into pressing and rolling operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating press and rolling machinery to shape and form materials to specification
- Working from engineering drawings and technical instructions
- Handling and processing metal materials safely and efficiently
- Performing quality checks to ensure products meet required standards
- Supporting team output to meet production targets and deadlines
- Maintaining machinery and reporting any faults or issues
- Adhering to all health & safety procedures at all times
Key Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in pressing, rolling, or similar manufacturing environments preferred
- Background in plating or fabrication highly advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong practical skills with good attention to detail
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to support across shifts when required
- Reliable, hardworking, and a team player
