About the role
Jackson Hogg is delighted to be partnering with a growing business in Darlington on the appointment of a Purchase Ledger. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive finance team in a varied role that offers both ownership and development.
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining an efficient purchase ledger function while supporting wider accounting activities across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day purchase ledger, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate any discrepancies
- Allocate payments and maintain accurate supplier records
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Support month-end activities, including ledger reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of management accounting information
- Reconcile intercompany balances and support wider finance processes
- Maintain accurate financial documentation and records
About You
- Previous experience within an Accounts Payable role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of transactions
- Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel
- Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
