Purchase Ledger

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be partnering with a growing business in Darlington on the appointment of a Purchase Ledger. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive finance team in a varied role that offers both ownership and development.

Working closely with the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining an efficient purchase ledger function while supporting wider accounting activities across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day purchase ledger, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate any discrepancies
• Allocate payments and maintain accurate supplier records
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Support month-end activities, including ledger reconciliations
• Assist with the preparation of management accounting information
• Reconcile intercompany balances and support wider finance processes
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and records

About You

• Previous experience within an Accounts Payable role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of transactions
• Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel
• Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
