General Operative

Cogent Staffing are urgently seeking reliable and hardworking General Operatives working in a workshop/industrial environment.

This is a hands-on role requiring thorough cleaning/upkeep of all workshop and shop floor areas to a high standard with a focus on keeping the factory in a good condition and to a good standard.

Hours

• Monday to Friday
• 08:00-16:00
• £12.71 per hour
• Full time temporary, ongoing position
• Immediate starts available

Key Responsibilities:

• Deep cleaning of shop floor and all workshop floor areas
• Sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing floors
• Cleaning under and around machinery
• Removing built-up dust, grease, and debris
• Wiping down equipment, surfaces, and workstations
• Cleaning hard-to-reach areas
• Ensuring all areas are left clean, safe, and tidy

Requirements:

• Previous industrial or commercial cleaning experience preferred (or labouring)
• Ability to carry out physically demanding work
• Good attention to detail
• Able to work efficiently and independently
• Reliable and available to start immediately
