Job Title: AV Design Engineer
Location: Manchester
Salary: From £30k to £40k per annum

Are you looking for an AV Design Engineer position working in Manchester? As an AV Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing professional AV system designs, schematics, and technical drawings to support the delivery of audio-visual projects. You will be working for a leading AV, network infrastructure, and electrical contracting business that is continuing to expand its presence across the UK.

Responsibilities:

● Produce AV system drawings, schematics, signal flow diagrams, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD
● Create floor plans, equipment layouts, elevations, and rack layouts
● Translate technical briefs into accurate and professional AV designs
● Generate cable schedules, device layouts, and as-built drawings
● Ensure designs meet industry standards and client requirements
● Support projects throughout the lifecycle with technical clarifications and design validation

Experience and Certifications required:

● A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar AV Design Engineer or AV CAD Designer role
● Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for AV and ELV systems
● Experience designing audio-visual systems, including audio, video, control, and signal flow infrastructure
● Ability to produce 2D and 3D CAD plans, elevations, and schematics
● Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate technical documentation
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills
● Based in Manchester, Stockport, or willing to relocate
