Social Worker

Support and Protect Team

£45 per hour

Hybrid Working

Duties:

  • Evaluate the needs, risks, and strengths of individuals and families to determine the necessary level of support and protection.
  • Create detailed care plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each client, outlining goals, interventions, and expected outcomes.
  • Offer emotional support, counselling, and guidance to individuals and families dealing with various issues such as abuse, neglect, mental health problems, or family breakdowns.
  • Assist clients in accessing necessary services, including health care, housing, education, and financial support.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients to ensure they receive the appropriate services and support from other agencies and organisations.
  • Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, or other safeguarding concerns, and take appropriate action to protect individuals at risk
  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams to implement safeguarding measures, including placing individuals in safe environments, providing emergency support, and monitoring ongoing risk.
  • Collaborate with other professionals such as health care workers, educators, law enforcement, and community organisations to provide comprehensive support and protection.
  • Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring regular follow-ups, reviews, and adjustments to care plans as needed.
  • Respond to crises and emergencies, providing immediate support and coordination of services to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions, assessments, plans, and interventions, ensuring compliance with legal and organisational requirements.
  • Ensure all actions and interventions comply with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including child protection laws, mental health regulations, and confidentiality agreements.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay updated on best practices, legal requirements, and new developments in social work and safeguarding.
  • Attend regular supervision sessions to reflect on practice, discuss challenging cases, and receive support and guidance from supervisors.
  • Conduct community outreach and education programs to raise awareness about safeguarding issues, available support services, and the role of social workers in the community.
