Senior Building Surveyor - Chartered Surveying Consultancy Location - Liverpool Salary - 45,000 - 55,000 About An excellent opportunity for an experience Senior Building Surveyor to join a growing team within a Chartered property and construction consultancy, providing professional building surveying and project management across a variety of public and private sectors, including healthcare, education and commercial. This role comes with a focus on technical expertise and practical advice as the business supports clients throughout the property lifecycle, from initial inspections through to defect investigations and project delivery. The Role As a building surveyor, you will be undertaking a varied workload of professional surveying and project related instructions. This includes investigating building defects and preparing detailed reports and specifications whilst administering contracts. (JCT & NEC) Working closely with colleagues, clients and contractors, you will be a major part in delivering practical solutions while ensuring the work is completed to the required technical standards and within the agreed timescales, providing the client with advice on building condition, defects, maintenance and refurbishment. This role would suit a Senior Building Surveyor who enjoys the technical side of their profession, values a varied workload and is looking to develop their experience within an independent specialist consultancy. Key Responsibilities Take leadership of professional building surveys, property inspections and condition assessmentsCarry out defect diagnosis, building pathology investigations and recommend remedial solutionsProducing reports, schedules of condition, technical specifications and schedules of workAdvising clients on property condition, maintenance requirements and refurbishment optionsUndertake measured surveys and pre acquisition assessmentsSupport contract administration, tender documentation and project management activitiesLiaise with clients and other stakeholdersMonitor on site works against project requirements, ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within agreed deadlines Ideal Candidate Proven experience as a building surveyor, ideally within relevant sectorsDegree or equivalent in Building Surveying or construction related disciplineGreat understanding of building construction, defects and building pathologyExperience carrying out property inspections and preparing technical reportsExperience with condition surveys, specifications and schedules of workExposure to refurbishment, maintenance or project-related workKnowledge of dilapidations, measured surveys or contract administration advantageousStrong technical ability and attention to detailConfident dealing with clients, contractors and consultantsCan provide support to less experienced surveyorsRICS qualified or working towards chartership would be advantageousFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required What's on Offer Circa 50,000 (competitive DoE)EV SchemeOpportunity to work on varied complex projectsPension SchemeCollaborative consultancy environment Apply Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
