Director of Architecture

A rare opportunity has become available for a Director of Architecture to head up the Manchester based studio of an RIBA Chartered Architectural Practice. Since the inception of their Manchester office the company have established an excellent local presence and currently boast an impressive portfolio of projects across multiple sectors. As Director of Architecture you’ll assume full responsibility for the general management of the office including recruitment, retention and ongoing input into projects. You’ll also take responsibility for the strategic growth of the office and participate in board decisions nationally. A genuine opportunity to make the role your own and shape the future the Manchester studio. The role would suit an architect with a proven track record of delivering in a senior level role. Experience as an Associate with management responsibility, an Associate Director or a Director will ensure you can manage the daily tasks of the office and inspire the existing team. Duties are varied and include:

• Active involvement in projects
• Managing budgets
• Acting as lead designer
• Ongoing business development and management of client relationships
• Responsibility for training and development
• Development of marketing strategies
