Salary: £28,288 – £44,304 per annum
Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

About the Role

Joneshouse Recruitment is recruiting for a passionate SEND Vocational Studies Teacher to join a specialist education setting in Doncaster.

This is an exciting opportunity to support young people aged 14–16 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You’ll deliver engaging vocational learning, helping students build practical skills, confidence, and prepare for future education, training, or employment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive vocational lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
• Teach Construction to pupils within a specialist education setting.
• Create personalised learning pathways that encourage progress and achievement.
• Deliver engaging lessons that make complex concepts easy to understand.
• Promote positive behaviour using supportive and therapeutic approaches.
• Assess, mark, and monitor student progress.
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and professionals to support positive outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team.

Requirements

Essential

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS.
• Minimum of two years’ experience working within a SEND school or similar specialist setting.
• Experience teaching Construction.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
