An established property services contractor is looking for an experienced Electrician to join their growing team working in and around Guildford. This is a permanent role offering stability, varied work and the opportunity to work on a long-term social housing maintenance contract.

The Role:

– Carry out electrical testing and inspection works within occupied and void residential properties

– Diagnose and rectify electrical faults and complete reactive maintenance repairs

– Undertake domestic rewires, consumer unit upgrades and electrical installations

– Carry out electrical works to kitchens, bathrooms and domestic heating systems

– Respond quickly to emergency and reactive repair requests

– Complete all works to a high standard with a right first time approach

– Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and health and safety requirements

– Keep tenants updated on progress and planned works

– Complete accurate job records where required

– Participate in an out of hours call out rota

What We’re Looking For:

– NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation

– City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection or equivalent

– City & Guilds 2382 Wiring Regulations qualification

– Experience working within social housing, responsive repairs or building maintenance

– Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

– Self-motivated with good workload management abilities

– Professional and customer-focused approach

Requirements:

– Full UK Driving Licence

– Willingness to undergo a DBS check

– Good understanding of current electrical regulations and health and safety procedures

Desirable:

– 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

– Social housing maintenance experience
