DescriptionA growing technology business is seeking a hands-on Robotics Engineer to develop and integrate capabilities across autonomous systems. Working across hardware, software and practical testing, you will take ownership of new developments from initial requirements through to real-world validation, collaborating directly with users and multidisciplinary engineering teams

What you will be doing:
- Develop new platform capabilities from initial requirements through to field validation
- Integrate sensors, camera systems and communications equipment
- Develop software covering perception, navigation and communications
- Work on robotic navigation, localisation and SLAM in GPS-constrained environments
- Participate in hands-on flight testing and product validation
- Work directly with users to understand requirements and translate feedback into technical improvements
- Contribute to the development of future autonomy and sensing capabilities
What we are looking for:
- Practical experience in robotics engineering beyond academic study alone
- Hands-on experience with robotic navigation, SLAM or computer vision in real-world systems
- Ability to work across both hardware and software
- Proficiency in Python
- Eligibility for UK Security Check (SC) clearance, normally requiring British citizenship or at least five years' UK residency
- Experience with UAVs, UAS or autonomous aerospace systems would be advantageous
- Familiarity with ROS, PX4, ArduPilot, RF or communications integration would be beneficial
- Experience taking a prototype or technical capability through to operational use
