OR120105 – Multi Skilled Tradesperson Carpentry – Facilities & Environment

Work Pattern: Remote

PAYE Pay Rate: £22.43 per hour

Main Purpose of the Role

To carry out carpentry, joinery, repair and maintenance works across properties, including timber and UPVC windows, doors and frames. The role requires accurate measuring, diagnosing faults and ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Typical Day Overview

• Attend properties to carry out carpentry and joinery repairs.
• Repair and maintain sash windows, UPVC windows, doors and frames.
• Accurately measure replacement joinery and submit detailed orders.
• Carry out minor plumbing, tiling and making-good works.
• Diagnose faults and determine the most appropriate repair.
• Work across occupied and unoccupied properties.
• Complete jobs safely, efficiently and to a professional standard.

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• Strong carpentry and joinery skills.
• Experience repairing timber doors, frames and windows.
• Knowledge of sash and UPVC windows and doors.
• Accurate measuring and ability to prepare joinery orders.
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to complete minor multi-trade repairs, including plumbing and tiling.
• High attention to detail and quality of finish.
• Good customer awareness when working in occupied properties.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.

Essential Qualifications / Requirements

• Proven experience in carpentry and joinery.
• Relevant NVQ/City & Guilds qualification in Carpentry & Joinery desirable.
• Experience with windows, doors and frames essential.
• Full UK driving license essential.
• Strong measuring and diagnostic skills.
• Good standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Able to work safely in occupied and unoccupied properties.
