About the role
Location: Meldreth, South Cambridgeshire
Salary: £22,996 - £25,068 (Actual annual salary, DOE)
Type: Full-Time, Permanent (Term Time Only)
Hours: 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 08:30 - 17:00)
The Opportunity
Are you a solution-focused individual with a passion for championing the rights of young people? We are an independent, NAS-accredited specialist day school dedicated to supporting students aged 6-19 with complex learning needs.
Our learners navigate a variety of challenges, including Autism, ADHD, MLD, SLD, and profound physical or medical impairments. We don't just "teach"-we provide a highly resourced, therapeutic environment where we help students overcome barriers like sensory overload, anxiety, and low self-esteem to prepare them for a meaningful adult life.
Your Impact
As a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, you won't be confined to a desk. Your day-to-day will involve:
Empowering Learners: Supporting progress across the curriculum, from the classroom to community-based settings.
Holistic Support: Providing essential aid for students with PMLD and complex medical needs, including personal care and physical intervention routines.
Fostering Equality: Creating a respectful environment where every young person is seen as a capable learner.
Collaboration: Working alongside therapists and specialist teachers to deliver individualised, high-quality support.
Who You Are
We are looking for someone who sees potential, not disability. You'll be a great fit if you are:
Proactive & Creative: You look for solutions rather than just reacting to challenges.
Ambitious: You are eager to grow and will take advantage of our fully funded training and qualifications.
Resilient: You can remain calm and supportive during difficult transitions or behavioural challenges.
An Outdoor Enthusiast: You enjoy learning in the community and the fresh air.
Qualified: You hold at least a Level 2 (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
Why Join Us?
Professional Growth: We fully fund your professional development and formal qualifications.
Exceptional Facilities: Work in a well-resourced setting with a dedicated therapeutic team.
Predictable Schedule: Enjoy a work-life balance with a term-time-only contract.
