About the role and school

Teach Plus is currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher for a full-time position in Hounslow, starting ASAP. Job Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with special educational needs and individual learning requirements.
• Adapt teaching strategies, resources and activities to meet a range of abilities, communication styles and developmental needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive and structured classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, using this information to inform planning and support individual learning targets.
• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENCO, parents and other professionals to provide consistent and effective pupil support.
• Promote pupils’ social, emotional and academic development through personalised teaching approaches and a nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications/Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant qualification
• Experience as a SEN Teacher or in a similar role
• Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role
• Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
• Right to work in the UK
