Job Title: Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Location: Huyton, Merseyside

Employment Type: Full-time, Open to a 4 day week working 8am-6pm 

Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home to lead a newly established three-bedroom children’s residential facility in Huyton. This is a vital role within a supportive organisation committed to creating positive outcomes for children and young people. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of care, compliance with regulations, and fostering a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leading and managing the children’s home to ensure compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Homes Regulations
Promoting a positive, supportive team culture through supervision and staff development
Overseeing safeguarding, crisis management, and incident response, ensuring appropriate actions and learning
Delivering high-quality, child-centred care tailored to individual needs and experiences
Encouraging young people’s participation, access to education, community activities, and life skills
Building and maintaining strong partnerships with families, professionals, and community services

Requirements & Qualifications

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
Minimum of 2 years’ leadership experience within a children’s residential setting
Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS Check and a Full UK Driving Licence
