We’re currently recruiting for a Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming Primary School in Nottingham on a long-term basis starting in September.

You’ll be joining a supportive and inclusive school that places high expectations, pupil wellbeing and engaging learning at the heart of its approach. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT looking to join a collaborative school community.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the Year 2 curriculum

• Supporting pupils with their transition through Key Stage 1

• Delivering high-quality phonics, reading, writing and maths sessions

• Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to individual needs

• Creating an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment

• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence

• Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and wider school staff

• Building positive relationships with pupils and parents

Requirements or Skills:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Recent experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 2

• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum

• Experience delivering phonics and early reading

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Passionate about helping pupils achieve their full potential

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
