Accounts Assistant (Credit Control) | £27,000 - £35,000 | North Cheltenham (Hybrid)

Global organisation in North Cheltenham is seeking a Accounts Assistant with a Credit Control and Accounts Receivable focus. The business has had a period of stability and is now looking to grow. This will suit someone experienced who is reliable and collaborative and able to support them as they grow.

The Role:

• Manage customer accounts to ensure timely collection balances in line with the agreed terms
• Monitor and forecast cash receipts
• Oversee credit insurance declarations and prepare quarterly submissions
• Act as a key contact for the SSC across AR, AP
• Hold weekly credit control meetings with the sales teams
• Monitor and report key KPIs
• Calculate customer rebates and process related credit notes accurately
• Review and approve customer credit applications
• Support external auditors with accounts receivable queries and documentation
• Complete day-to-day finance administration tasks
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls
• Assist with VAT reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliation
• Assist with creation of month end journals and accruals

Your Profile:

• Experience in either Accounts Receivable or Credit Control
• Ideally 2+ years in a finance role
• Understanding of VAT fundamentals
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
