We're partnering with a leading organisation within the education sector to appoint an Immigration Compliance Manager. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a complex and high-profile UKVI compliance function, supporting an internationally diverse workforce within a large and evolving organisation.
Working closely with HR, Legal and senior stakeholders, you'll serve as the organisation's subject matter expert for workforce immigration compliance, providing strategic advice, shaping policy and governance frameworks, and ensuring continued compliance with UKVI regulations.
This role offers the chance to influence decision-making at a senior level, lead meaningful improvement initiatives and make a tangible impact within a purpose-driven environment.
The Opportunity
As the organisation's subject matter expert for workforce immigration compliance, you will:
Lead and oversee UKVI compliance across the organisation, acting as the recognised subject matter expert on immigration legislation, sponsorship requirements and regulatory best practice.
Collaborate with HR teams and various stakeholders to ensure institutional policies and practises align with evolving UK immigration requirements.
Develop and maintain the workplace immigration compliance framework, delivering expert advice on complex cases and leading audit activities.
Monitor compliance performance, producing management information and risk reports to recommend improvements in systems and controls.
Foster an inclusive environment that supports international colleagues, promoting understanding of immigration compliance through training and development initiatives.
About You
Significant experience managing UKVI sponsorship and immigration compliance activities.
Strong knowledge of UK immigration legislation, sponsor licence requirements and right-to-work regulations.
Proven ability to develop policies and governance frameworks, lead audits, and manage compliance risks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to distil complex legislation into clear operational guidance.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and experience advising senior leaders.
Strong policy development, governance and process improvement expertise.
The confidence to challenge, influence and drive best practice across an organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity where you'll have genuine scope to shape strategy, influence decision-making and lead meaningful improvement initiatives, whilst building relationships across a broad range of stakeholders in a collaborative and values-driven environment.
If you're an experienced UKVI, immigration or compliance specialist looking for a role that combines strategic influence with operational leadership, we'd love to hear from you.
