About the role
Are you a passionate and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding new opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic Primary SEN Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in Runcorn on a long-term temporary basis, starting in September 2026.
The Role
As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs, while working closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEN.
- Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Monitor, assess and track pupil progress effectively.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team.
- Develop and implement individual learning plans and strategies.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families and professionals.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching primary-aged children with Special Educational Needs.
- Strong knowledge of SEND practices and inclusive teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- A patient, compassionate and adaptable approach.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
