• Group has an operating profit of £327m. This is an MD jobs role in a subsidiary business t/o of £16m approx. 

• Managing Director jobs role – we would also consider experienced Sales Directors, General Managers or Commercial Directors looking to step up.

The Managing Director jobs role overview

Taking overall responsibility for the business, you will focus on performance, profitability, leadership and future growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the business and delivering its financial and commercial objectives.

• Developing growth opportunities and strengthening customer relationships.

• Improving profitability, operational efficiency and business performance.

• Leading and developing the management team.

• Overseeing a multi-site operation Leeds / Sheffield as the main HQ

What are we looking for?

We are interested in commercially astute, hands-on business leaders who understand how to run and improve an SME in the engineering, manufacturing or distribution world.

You may already be a Managing Director or General Manager, or be a Sales Director  or Commercial Director ready to take the next step.

Ideally, you will bring:

• An MD wanting to work for a sales/commercially focused business involved in manufacturing, engineering and industrial sectors

• A Sales Director or Managing Director seeking MD jobs in an already successful business. A chance to really grow and continue the success

• Must have SME experience and length of tenure on CV - the business values loyalty. 

• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including P&L responsibility.

• A track record of improving performance, profitability or growth.

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop a management team.

• An entrepreneurial, practical approach and the confidence to make decisions.

• Experience in technical distribution, engineering, industrial products or a related B2B environment would be advantageous.
