About the role

At Pick Everard, we are passionate about creating a prosperous and sustainable future by bringing a fresh perspective to the built environment. Our values of professionalism, compassion, drive and positivity are at the heart of everything we do.

We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our People team, based in our Leicester office.

Are you excited by the opportunity to support an evolving organisation?

Do you thrive on navigating complex employee relations matters while building trusted relationships with managers?

Can you combine sound knowledge of UK employment law with a pragmatic, people-first approach?

If you answered yes, we would love to hear from you.

As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will provide practical, expert guidance across a broad range of employee relations matters, from policy advice and informal case management to formal procedures and complex cases. You will help build positive working relationships, support confident and consistent decision-making, and ensure our approach reflects UK employment law, internal policies and good practice.

Key responsibilities:

  • Advise managers on disciplinary, grievance, performance, conduct, attendance and long-term sickness absence matters, including complex cases.
  • Provide clear, practical guidance on People policies, formal procedures and employment-related risks.
  • Support fair and objective investigations, ensuring confidentiality, consistency and appropriate documentation.
  • Promote positive working relationships through early intervention, mediation and pragmatic dispute resolution.
  • Coach and upskill line managers to build confidence in handling employee relations matters effectively.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of People policies, processes and value-adding projects.
  • Provide employee relations support for organisational change, restructures and reorganisations as the business continues to grow.
  • Help strengthen a culture of high performance, inclusion and safety as a responsible employer.
  • Support our mission to ‘Deliver Better Together’ by helping to create a diverse and welcoming workplace where everyone is empowered to contribute.
