We are seeking a motivated and experienced Head of Social Science to lead our thriving Psychology and Sociology department. This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding teacher and ambitious leader ready to shape a forward-thinking curriculum and inspire students at both GCSE and A-Level.

The Role:

• Lead and manage the Social Science team, with a particular focus on Psychology and Sociology.

• Develop and deliver an engaging, ambitious and inclusive curriculum.

• Monitor student progress and ensure high achievement across KS4 and KS5.

• Cultivate a love for social sciences and critical thinking through classroom teaching and enrichment.

• Support and mentor departmental colleagues, fostering professional growth and collaboration.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold QTS and have a strong track record of success in teaching Psychology and/or Sociology at KS4 and KS5.

• Be an innovative and strategic thinker, able to lead curriculum planning and assessment.

• Demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.

• Be passionate about social sciences and committed to inspiring and empowering young people.

• Support the inclusive and aspirational ethos of Elthorne Park High School.
