Location

Hybrid Office Based (Manchester North) /Field-Based North UK

Company Profile

GWR Recruitment Ltd. is working with a premium and well-established industrial/commercial heating business. They provide a wide range of turnkey heating products & solutions to a diverse range of industrial customers and sectors within the UK and abroad.

Due external demand and internal expansion they are looking to appoint a Commercial Combustion Gas Engineer Manager who will be responsible for managing a diverse team of combustion engineers, welders/ fabricators, pipefitters and tradesmen in servicing and maintaining steam boiler systems, combustion (gas/oil fired) products, water treatment systems, control systems and industrial/commercial heating systems throughout the Northern UK and Scotland.

Salary

Our client is looking for the right candidate and is open to negotiation regarding salary. The salary will be commensurate with experience qualifications and/or knowledge of the industry. Please submit your salary requirements along with your CV.

Relocation Assistance

As the vacancy is a high profile position within the organisation, our client wants to attract the right candidate.  They understand the best candidate may live farther afield and may require relocation assistance.  Therefore the company will provide financial support to the right candidate who is relocating within the UK.

Essential Skills

• 5 plus years commercial/ industrial steam raising experience
• 5 plus years supervisory or management experience within the commercial/ industrial steam raising industry
• Demonstrable experience servicing and repairing steam boilers and subsystems
• Electrical qualification: 18th Edition
• Knowledge of boiler control systems
• Multi-manufacturer combustion burner system experience
• Water treatment system experience
• Gas Safe registered
• Full UK driver’s license
• Able to travel with occasional overnight stays
• Demonstrable leadership experience within an industrial engineering/service environment
• Technically competent- Able to work independently in resolving technical issues.
• Experience working with gas- and oil-fired combustion systems
• General pipefitting experience
• Have good computer literacy skills (e.g. Microsoft, Word, Outlook, Excel)
• BOAS Certified
• IOSH or Safety Passport Trained

Desirable Skills

• PLC control Experience
• IPAF Trained
