About the role
Fabrication Quality Control Inspector £38,000 Mon - Wed 0700 to 1730 & Thurs 0700 to 1630 Permanent Bishop Stortford Client Overview: The client is a leading parts / component manufacturer for a range of aircraft, such as Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, Bombardier and military purposes. Role Overview: fabrication Quality Control Inspector to provide support to the Quality & Inspection departments and ensure all work carried out is to the required standards and meets customer specifications. The main duty will be to carry out First Off and Final Inspections of the manufactured components to ensure compliance. Responsibilities: First off Inspection of fabricated sheet metal, welded and assembled parts. Stage and Final Inspection of fabricated sheet metal, welded and assembled parts. Ensuring all work carried out is within customer and industry specifications. Producing inspection reports & First Article Inspection to AS9102 requirements. Identify and report non-conforming products. Supporting MRB (RCCA) activities and maintaining records (Q-Pulse). Measuring of components with various hand tools (vernier, micrometer, etc.) Ensuring compliance with inspection procedures & keeping relevant records up to date. Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives. Ensuring the cleanliness, neatness and orderliness (5S) of his/her area of responsibility. Ensure all documentation is in line with customer and business requirements. Work closely with quality and production teams to maintain high standards. Perform any other duties within your capabilities as directed by the Company. Qualifications: Previous fine limit technical experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 desirable Previous experience in a similar role Previous experience using hand measurement tools Knowledge of problem-solving techniques Use of PC and related programmes Strong communication skills Good understanding of engineering drawings.
