Risk Officer

Leading London Market Insurer is looking to recruit a Risk Officer to join their Risk team, reporting to the Risk Manager.

You will assist in ensuring the risk management department runs effectively, including the management of deadlines and forward planning for a strong risk identification, assessment and reporting process. Assist the Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO), Head of ERM and Risk Manager and in implementing the strategy of the Risk Management Team. You will also be expected provide support to the junior members of the team.

This role includes responsibility for the development of, implementation of, administration of, and compliance with the company’s risk policy and risk management processes and procedures. The management of operational risk and its reporting to relevant Committees and managing the risk and control assessment process, including communication of results to senior management.

The successful candidate will have substantial Professional experience, ideally educated to degree level or equivalent/appropriate professional qualification, have good knowledge of the risk exposures of the organisation and be conversant with internal audit and Compliance requirements.

Please note that unfortunately candidates coming from outside of insurance industry cannot be considered – Lloyd’s/London market background is ideal, otherwise wider insurance is sufficient.
