Job Title: Design & Technology Teacher
Location: Rhondda, Wales
Salary: £173 per day (minimum)

Job Description:
A leading specialist provider is seeking a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology (D&T) Teacher to join a secondary school in the Rhondda area for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, long-term role offers an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form. The successful D&T Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, planning schemes of work, and supporting learners through a variety of classroom and lab-based activities. Key Responsibilities:

Lead a classroom of learners across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form.
Prepare classrooms and plan schemes of work aligned with the national curriculum.
Deliver engaging lessons in Design & Technology, including practical and theoretical components.
Manage behaviour in accordance with school policies.
Mark work, prepare for parents' evenings, and participate in school events.
Utilise weekly PPA time for planning and preparation.

Requirements:

At least 1 year of Design & Technology teaching experience (exceptions for NQTs).
Hold Qualified Teacher Status or overseas equivalent.
Registration as a Teacher with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
References covering the last two years with no gaps.
Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
Right to work in the UK.
