The Role: Plater
You will



Interpeting engineering drawings




Marking off materials




Preparing ship for float off and ship sea trials




Fit, fair and tack weld steelwork using fairing aids




Plate perpetration, using different methods, pressure testing, drilling and lock fitting.   




Fabrication of ship items, fitting hatches, watertight doors, equipment seats and false flooring. 


Apprenticeship qualifications required  (trade and apprenticeship certificates)


Rate card available on request
 
You will be required to attend a trade test within your first day if successful.
