Dimensional Engineer (GD&T)

Rubery, UK Evera Recruitment Ltd Dimensional Engineer (GD&T) -  Contract - Immediately Available   We looking for an experienced GD&T Specialist / Engineer to support Strip Tinning Automotive on a contract basis. This role will focus on making sure component drawings, tolerances and inspection requirements are clear, practical and fit for manufacture.   Responsibilities: Review engineering drawings and assess the application of GD&T. Define and refine datums, tolerance schemes and dimensional requirements. Identify tolerance issues that could affect assembly, function or manufacturability. Work with design, manufacturing and quality teams to resolve dimensional queries. Support inspection planning and help ensure drawings can be measured consistently. Communicate technical findings and recommended changes clearly to stakeholders. Requirements: Strong practical experience applying GD&T to engineering drawings. A sound understanding of datum systems, tolerance stack-ups and how parts fit together. Experience working with manufacturing and inspection teams to resolve dimensional issues. The ability to work independently and make an immediate contribution. Automotive or Tier 1 manufacturing experience would be advantageous
