About the role
Looking for a career where you can develop your skills, work with people every day and build a long-term career in recruitment? This could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
Since 1969, Morson Group has grown from a small family business into a £1.4 billion global recruitment organisation, operating from more than 30 UK offices and across Canada, the USA, Australia and Europe. As the UK’s leading technical recruiter, we’re passionate about developing talented people and giving them the training, support and opportunities to build successful careers.
We’re looking for a Junior Recruitment Consultant to join our busy Aerospace & Defence team at our Salford HQ.
You don’t need previous recruitment experience. We’re particularly interested in people with a background in administration, customer service or other office-based, people-focused roles who are looking for the next step in their career and are keen to learn something new.
You’ll receive full training and ongoing support from an experienced team, giving you everything you need to develop your recruitment skills and become a valued member of the team.
This is a delivery-focused role, working across a high volume of permanent and contract vacancies. You’ll be speaking to candidates and clients every day, so you’ll need to be confident picking up the phone, building relationships and providing a great experience throughout the recruitment process.
What You’ll Be Doing
No previous recruitment experience? No problem. We’ll teach you everything you need to know.
Your role will include:
- Managing the recruitment process for a high volume of contract and permanent vacancies.
- Sourcing and engaging with candidates using a variety of methods.
- Speaking with candidates to understand their experience, skills and career goals.
- Screening and interviewing candidates and matching them to suitable opportunities.
- Speaking with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on recruitment activity.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with candidates and clients.
- Providing excellent customer service throughout the recruitment journey.
- Managing candidate administration and ensuring records and compliance requirements are kept up to date.
- Supporting contractors throughout their assignments.
- Working as part of a busy, supportive team to deliver against recruitment targets.
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need recruitment experience, but you will need the right attitude and approach.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Confident and comfortable speaking to people on the phone.
- Friendly, professional and customer-focused.
- Organised and able to manage multiple vacancies and priorities.
- Hardworking, reliable and committed to getting the job done.
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
- Keen to learn and build a career in recruitment.
- Not afraid to pick up the phone and have a conversation!
Previous experience in administration, customer service or another people focused office-based role would be ideal. Experience of working towards targets is also useful, but isn’t essential.
Ultimately, we’re looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a genuine interest in developing their recruitment skills. If you have the right attitude and potential, but don’t tick every box, we’d still be keen to hear from you.
What’s In It For You?
At Morson Group, we invest in our people and give you the support you need to build your career.
You’ll benefit from:
- Competitive salary with a quarterly bonus scheme.
- 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Hybrid working available following successful completion of your 6-month probation – normally 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
- Full training and ongoing support from experienced recruitment professionals.
- A bespoke training and development programme with internal and external learning opportunities.
- Opportunities to develop your skills and take on additional responsibility as you grow in the role.
- Health and wellbeing support, including confidential counselling services and wellbeing apps.
- Onsite Coffee Shop & Gym
- Free parking at our Salford HQ.
- Access to our renowned meritocracy incentive scheme, with previous destinations including Mexico, Barbados, Cuba and Dubai.
Why Recruitment?
Recruitment is a career built around people. You’ll speak to candidates every day, help them find their next opportunity and work closely with clients to help them build their teams.
No two days are the same, and you’ll develop valuable skills in communication, organisation, relationship management and problem-solving as you become more experienced in the role.
If you’re currently working in customer service or administration, or simply looking for a career where you can learn, develop and work with people every day, this could be a great opportunity to take your next step.
If you’re hardworking, confident on the phone and keen to build a career with a supportive and established business, we’d love to hear from you.
