Meter Reader - Watford

Location: Watford and surrounding areas
Pay: £12.81+ per hour PAYE, depending on location
Contract: Ongoing
Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence essential

Our client is a leading provider of metering services within the UK and is currently looking for a Water Meter Reader to join their dedicated Metering team in Watford.

The Role
As a Water Meter Reader, you will be responsible for visiting residential and commercial properties to accurately record water meter readings.

You will use a handheld device to manage appointments, plan efficient routes and record readings accurately. The role involves working outdoors and walking several miles each day, so you’ll need to be energetic, organised and comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities
Visit customers’ properties to obtain accurate water meter readings
Read and record water meter data accurately
Use a handheld device to manage appointments and plan daily routes
Walk several miles throughout the working day
Provide a professional and friendly service to customers

We’re looking for someone who is:
Self-motivated, energetic and reliable
Comfortable working outdoors and walking several miles each day
Customer-focused with excellent communication skills
Organised and able to work independently

Essential Requirements
Full UK driving licence
Must live in Watford or the surrounding areas
Able to complete the required screening and vetting process
Able to provide a full five-year employment history
Able to successfully pass a DBS check
