Fixed term contract to 31st August 2028

Salary: Apprentice Pay Rate - £8 per hour

37 hours per week: Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:00pm; Friday 8:00am - 3:30pm
(30-minute unpaid lunch break each day)

38 weeks per year - term time plus inset days

Start Date: November 2026

Doddinghurst Junior School is seeking a motivated Business Administration Apprentice to join our friendly and supportive school office team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a busy school environment while working towards a Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration. You will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day running of the school, developing a wide range of professional skills and gaining experience that will form a strong foundation for your future career.

Key responsibilities will include:

Providing administrative and clerical support to the school office team
Answering telephone calls and responding to parent enquiries in a professional and friendly manner
Assisting with general office administration and record-keeping
Supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the school

We are looking for a positive, reliable and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must hold GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4 (Grade C) or above, as this is an essential requirement for acceptance onto the apprenticeship programme.
