Source Supply are currently recruiting Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Stockton-on-Tees and the surrounding Teesside areas.

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and committed Level 3 Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants and Classroom Support Staff who are available for flexible day-to-day supply work, short-term placements and long-term Teaching Assistant roles.

These opportunities are ideal for experienced Teaching Assistants and education professionals looking to work across a variety of primary school settings while enjoying the flexibility of supply work.

Teaching Assistant vacancies are available across Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2).

The Role

As a Level 3 Supply Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom.
• Providing one-to-one support to pupils who require additional assistance.
• Working with small groups of pupils to support learning and development.
• Delivering and supporting intervention and booster sessions.
• Helping children develop their confidence, independence and academic skills.
• Supporting pupils with a range of learning needs and abilities.
• Assisting with classroom activities and ensuring pupils remain engaged in their learning.
• Providing effective pastoral, emotional and learning support where required.
• Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Building positive relationships with pupils, teachers and school staff.
• Adapting confidently to different primary school environments and classroom settings.
• Promoting safeguarding, inclusion and pupil wellbeing at all times.

Requirements

To be considered for these Level 3 Teaching Assistant jobs in Stockton-on-Tees, you should have:

• A recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant, Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Classroom Assistant or in a similar education role.
• Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a primary school or education setting.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, positive and flexible approach.
• The ability to work effectively alongside class teachers and wider school staff.
• Confidence supporting individual pupils and small groups.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
• The ability to adapt quickly to different school environments and pupil needs.
• Ideally, a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
