Basildon, Essex Adore Recruitment Ltd CNC Miller & Setter Aerospace Precision Engineering – Low Volume / Bespoke Basildon, Essex Permanent Position Working Hours: * 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday * 8:00 am – 3:30 pm Friday We’re partnered with an established aerospace precision engineering business supplying bespoke, high-quality components to leading OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. Due to continued growth, they’re looking for an experienced CNC Miller & Setter to join their skilled manufacturing team. This is a low-volume, bespoke machining environment - not repetitive batch production - offering variety and technical challenge across complex aerospace components. The Role You’ll be responsible for setting, proving and operating CNC milling machines, working from complex engineering drawings and developing effective machining strategies for one-off and low-volume components. What You’ll Be Doing * Setting, proving and operating CNC milling machines * Working independently across Mazak, Hurco and Haas machines * Interpreting complex engineering drawings and specifications * Developing machining strategies and workholding solutions * Producing highprecision aerospace components to tight tolerances * Carrying out inprocess checks and ensuring quality standards are met * Working closely with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve manufacturing challenges * Maintaining a high standard of workmanship across bespoke components What We’re Looking For * Proven experience as a CNC Miller / Setter * Strong experience within a highprecision, low-volume environment * Able to work from complex engineering drawings with minimal supervision * Experience with one or more of Mazatrol, Hurco, Fanuc or Haas controls * Strong setting and provingout experience * Aerospace machining experience highly advantageous * Methodical, technically minded and quality focused What’s On Offer * Competitive salary / rate – DOE * 21 days holiday plus bank holidays * Sage benefits * Company pension scheme * Overtime available at 1.5x hourly rate * Varied, technically challenging work * Long-term opportunity within an established aerospace precision engineering business If you’re an experienced CNC Miller & Setter looking to move away from repetitive batch production and work on complex, bespoke aerospace components, I’d be interested in hearing from you.
