Senior/Electrical Engineer

Our client, a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its Building Services team in London on a permanent basis. The role will support the delivery of electrical engineering solutions across commercial, residential, healthcare, education, energy, sport and mixed-use projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and project completion
• Managing electrical design packages across a diverse portfolio of building projects
• Producing high-quality technical designs, specifications, calculations and project documentation
• Co-ordinating electrical designs with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors and other stakeholders
• Supporting the delivery of projects to programme, budget and required quality standards
• Contributing to project planning, organisation and commercial management
• Providing technical guidance, mentoring and support to junior engineers and technicians
• Building effective client relationships through clear communication and reliable project delivery

Job Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong experience in electrical building services design and electrical engineering
• Experience leading electrical design packages across a range of building projects
• Experience working within multidisciplinary design teams and across sectors such as commercial, residential, healthcare, education, leisure or mixed-use developments
• Chartered Engineer status, or progress towards chartership, through a recognised institution such as the IET or CIBSE
• Excellent technical design, problem-solving, planning and project management skills
• Experience using industry-standard electrical design software and working within a BIM environment; Revit experience would be beneficial
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines
