Electrical Engineer - Barth, Bristol, Swindon

BS1, Bristol, City of Bristol Smile Digital Electrical Engineer, Bristol, Bath and Swindon We are supporting an established engineering business with the recruitment of an experienced Electrical Engineer to cover Bristol, Bath, Swindon and the surrounding areas. This is a varied, hands-on role working across residential, commercial and industrial environments. What you will be doing You will work across a range of electrical engineering requirements, from reactive maintenance and fault diagnosis through to larger installation projects. Your responsibilities will include: * Carrying out electrical installations, maintenance and repairs. * Diagnosing electrical faults and identifying effective solutions. * Working across single-phase and three-phase electrical systems. * Undertaking reactive maintenance and planned electrical works. * Completing inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations. * Supporting projects across residential, commercial and industrial sites. * Ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations and health and safety requirements. * Maintaining accurate documentation and records. * Working professionally with customers and other engineers on site. * Identifying potential improvements or upgrades where appropriate. What we are looking for We would love to hear from qualified electricians who have: * An NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent. * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification. * Proven experience in electrical installation, maintenance and fault finding. * Experience working with single-phase and three-phase systems. * Strong knowledge of current electrical regulations and safe working practices. * Experience working on commercial sites and dealing directly with customers. * The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider engineering team. * A practical, solution-focused approach. * A full UK driving licence. A City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification would be advantageous, although training may be available for someone with the right experience. IPAF would also be beneficial. You must be able to satisfy the requirements for an enhanced DBS check.
