Teachers UK & Provide Education is seeking an experienced and strategic School Business Manager to join a well-established school in Mansfield, working as part of the senior leadership team to support the operational and financial management of the school. 

This is a full-time position, playing a key role in ensuring the effective running of school operations, including finance, HR, administration and compliance.

School Business Manager role requirements 

• Previous experience as a School Business Manager or in a senior school operations role
  • Strong experience in financial management and budget planning
  • Knowledge of school operations, HR processes and compliance requirements 
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills 
  • Ability to work both strategically and operationally 
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills 
  • Commitment to safeguarding and governance standards 
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply 

 
The successful School Business Manager will: 

• Oversee financial planning, budgeting and reporting
  • Manage HR processes, including staffing and recruitment support
  • Lead on operational processes across the school 
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and statutory requirements 
  • Work closely with the Headteacher and leadership team 
  • Manage and support administrative and support staff 
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the school
