About the role
Required to start January 2027 or as soon as possible. An excellent science teacher with the ability to teach students with various needs up to GCSE level. The person appointed will be joining a team of committed and mutually supportive staff.
The post would suit a teacher wishing to extend their experience to working with young people who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school. The Horizon School staff are highly valued and there is a strong commitment to continuous professional development.
Working primarily with KS3-KS4 pupils, the successful candidate must have experience of teaching accredited courses, empathy for working with young people who have faced challenges and a passion to see them succeed. A conversation with our Headteacher, Sarah Nevison, and a potential visit to the school are encouraged.
