About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school, supporting pupils across KS2 and helping them to achieve their full potential. This is an excellent full-time opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference in a primary school setting.

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support learning, provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups and help create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment. The role would suit an experienced TA or Learning Support Assistant.

The Role

As a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils with their learning, development and wider wellbeing. You will play an important role in creating a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting pupils across Key Stage 2 with their learning and development
• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning
• Providing additional support to pupils who may have SEND or additional needs
• Helping to prepare and organise classroom resources
• Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
• Encouraging pupils to develop confidence, independence and a positive attitude towards learning
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other school staff
• Supporting the wider needs of the school and contributing to a positive learning environment

Requirements

We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships with children and staff.

You will be a qualified Teaching Assistant with:

• Experience supporting children in Key Stage 2
• A good understanding of the primary school curriculum
• The ability to support pupils both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, nurturing and encouraging approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
• A professional and adaptable attitude

Experience supporting children with SEND would be advantageous, although this is not essential.
