📍 Location: Wixams Academy, Wixams, Bedford, MK42 6BA
💰 Salary: £26,625 - £30,108 per annum
⏰ Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
👤 Responsible to: Regional Site Manager

Are you a practical, hands-on problem solver who takes pride in creating safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environments? We are looking for a dedicated Site Agent to join our team and play a key role in keeping our school running smoothly!

✅ Carrying out maintenance, repairs, and DIY tasks across the school site
✅ Ensuring the school buildings and grounds are safe, secure, and well-presented
✅ Supporting health and safety compliance and site inspections
✅ Managing site security, including opening and locking up the premises 🔐
✅ Liaising with contractors and overseeing maintenance works 👷
✅ Responding to emergencies and resolving issues quickly 🚨
✅ Supporting school events and community lettings 🎭
✅ Maintaining records, inspections, and compliance documentation 📋

We operate a rotating shift pattern to support the needs of the school and lettings programme:

Week 1: Five morning shifts starting at 7:00am
Week 2: Five afternoon/evening shifts starting at 12:30pm

The pattern alternates weekly and may occasionally vary to meet operational requirements.

✔️ Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
✔️ Reliable, proactive, and adaptable approach
✔️ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔️ Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
✔️ Confident communicator who can build positive relationships with staff, pupils, visitors, and contractors

Your primary base will be Wixams Academy, but there may be occasional opportunities to support other schools within our Bedfordshire Hub:
