Receptionist and Marketing Administrator

We are looking for a friendly, organised and proactive person to join our reception team.

You will be an important first point of contact for pupils, parents, visitors and staff, so excellent people skills are essential. Alongside this, you will need a strong eye for detail, operate with sound judgement and a focussed commitment on getting things right.

The role requires safeguarding awareness, discretion and confidentiality. You will hear or come across sensitive information and will need to understand professional boundaries and when information should be shared and reported.

You will be someone who takes ownership, follows things through and is confident to ask questions or appropriately challenge when necessary. Attention to detail and persistence are particularly important when completing visitor and vetting checks.

There is one vacancy. The successful candidate will be appointed to either:

• Receptionist – Grade 3, term time plus two weeks
• Receptionist & Marketing Assistant Grade 4, all year round

The role offered will be based on the candidate’s skills, experience and the needs of the school.

The Grade 4 role includes additional marketing and communications responsibilities, including promoting the school and its achievements, producing newsletters and other communications, supporting website and social media content, proofreading and helping to promote and support school events. You will need to work accurately and timely to deadlines and respond quickly when opportunities arise.

Marketing work will be undertaken around the needs of reception, with greater opportunity during school holidays.

The role may also include occasional support in other areas of school and first aid duties following appropriate training.
