Hardware Design Engineer

Clacton-on-Sea, Essex Tec Partners Recruitment Ltd The Role Lead the design, development and validation of digital and analogue hardware, taking projects from concept through to production. You'll work closely with Product Management, software, mechanical, test and manufacturing teams. Responsibilities * Define product and design specifications with Product Management * Design digital and analogue hardware, creating schematics and PCB layouts in Altium Designer * Select and analyse components for optimal performance * Write and run test plans, and debug and validate hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analysers and spectrum analysers * Lead product development projects and support products through their lifecycle * Maintain technical documentation and support production, sales and customers * Take part in design reviews and quality audits Requirements * Degree in Electronic Engineering, or comparable industry experience * 2-5 years' hardware design and development experience * Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools * Solid grounding in power supplies, signal integrity and noise mitigation * Hands-on lab experience * Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams * Desirable: Altium Designer, RF circuit design Benefits * £50,000 - £62,500 * 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to buy up to 10 more days * Life insurance at 4x salary * Salary sacrifice pension and car scheme * Performance-related pay reviews * Wellbeing and mental health support * Training, sponsored further education and career progression * Structured induction with a buddy * Occasional worldwide travel (role dependent)
