Technical Dual Run & Cutover Project Manager

Our client is seeking a Technical Dual Run & Cutover Project Manager to support a global SAP S/4HANA transformation within a complex IT environment. This contract role will coordinate the technology delivery required for SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA to operate in parallel, protecting business continuity, data integrity, financial control and service stability throughout deployment waves.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end technology delivery for Dual Run, including establishment, operation, stabilisation and controlled exit across SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA and connected systems.
• Develop and maintain integrated Dual Run and technical cutover plans covering applications, interfaces, data, infrastructure, security, testing, environments and service management.
• Coordinate application releases, data migration, interface activation, security provisioning, infrastructure changes and production validation.
• Lead mock cutovers, rehearsals, simulations and readiness reviews, incorporating lessons learned into future deployment waves.
• Coordinate the coexistence of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, including system-of-record rules, data synchronisation, transaction routing, reconciliation and exception handling.
• Manage readiness across connected applications, middleware, APIs, EDI, batch interfaces, reporting platforms and external services.
• Support Go-Live, Hypercare and stabilisation by coordinating incident triage, escalation, root cause analysis and transition to steady-state support.
• Provide clear governance, risk, dependency and progress reporting while working with SAP delivery teams, technical specialists, suppliers and global stakeholders.

Job Requirements:

• Significant experience leading technical deployment, cutover, release or delivery activities within large-scale ERP or business transformation programmes.
• Proven experience supporting SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration, deployment or transition programmes.
• Strong understanding of complex application landscapes, enterprise integration, middleware, APIs, data migration and cross-platform dependencies.
• Practical knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, hosting, databases, security, access management, environments and operational support.
• Experience coordinating global teams, system integrators, suppliers and business stakeholders within a matrix organisation.
• Ability to manage critical deployment windows, command-centre operations, high-severity incidents and decisions under pressure.
• Strong project delivery skills, including integrated planning, RAID management, governance, reporting, change control and stakeholder communication.
• Knowledge of ITIL, service transition, release management, operational readiness or SAP delivery practices would be advantageous.
