Role Overview

ARC are recruiting a reliable and detail‑focused School Cleaning Operative for a 20‑hour‑per‑week ongoing position. You’ll help maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for students, staff, and visitors. Extra hours are available for candidates with a valid DBS check.

Key Responsibilities

• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and general cleaning duties

• Cleaning and sanitising restrooms and replenishing supplies

• Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely

• Wiping surfaces and disinfecting high‑touch areas

• Assisting with occasional deep‑clean or special projects

• Using and storing cleaning chemicals and equipment safely

Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience (school or similar environment preferred)

• Ability to work independently and maintain high cleaning standards

• Strong attention to detail and good time‑management skills

• Understanding of safe cleaning practices and chemical handling

• Own transport is essential due to the remote location and lack of public transport

• DBS check required for additional hours

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 04:00 AM – 08:00 AM

• Extra hours available for candidates with a DBS
