As the organisation continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced HR Coordinator/ Administrator looking to step up into a HR Advisor role.
Reporting to the HR Manager, you’ll provide trusted HR advice and support to managers and employees across the organisation, with a particular focus on employee relations and delivering a proactive, high-quality HR service.
About the Role
This is a varied HR Advisor position where you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of your own workload, build strong relationships with managers and make a genuine impact across the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing professional and pragmatic HR advice to managers and employees across a range of people matters.
• Taking ownership of employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, investigation, performance management and absence management.
• Supporting managers throughout the employee lifecycle and ensuring HR processes are handled fairly, consistently and in line with company policies and employment legislation.
• Working closely with the HR Manager and wider HR team to continuously improve the HR service.
• Advising managers on best practice and helping them navigate sometimes complex or sensitive people issues.
• Supporting the development and delivery of HR training and ad-hoc presentations.
• Maintaining accurate HR records and ensuring appropriate documentation is completed.
• Keeping up to date with employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Building positive working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
• Supporting wider HR projects and initiatives as required.
• Travelling to other locations across Yorkshire when required.
You’ll be joining a supportive HR team and will receive a structured induction, including online training and the opportunity to shadow colleagues while you settle into the role.
About You
We’re looking for an HR professional who is confident providing advice, comfortable managing employee relations and enjoys working in a people-focused environment.
You’ll ideally have:
• CIPD Level 3 desirable, not essential.
• Previous experience working in an HR Advisor or similar HR generalist/ HR Coordinator position.
• Strong experience managing and advising on employee relations matters.
• A good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The confidence to provide clear, professional advice to managers at all levels.
• Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• The ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a wider HR team.
• A calm, empathetic and professional approach when dealing with sensitive situations.
• The confidence to make sound decisions and use your judgement when dealing with challenging situations.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
