Part time HR Advisor

Interim HR Advisor – West Bromwich

We are currently seeking an experienced HR Advisor to provide interim support in West Bromwich.

The initial assignment is expected to run until the end of October, with the potential for this to be extended depending on business requirements.

Location:
West Bromwich, with occasional travel to Cardiff and Lincoln. A pool car will be available for business travel.

Working hours:
Ideally 3 days per week, 8:30am-5:00pm, although there is flexibility to consider reduced hours spread across Monday to Friday. The successful candidate should also be able to work additional hours where required.

Rate:
£20.50 per hour, based on an equivalent annual salary of £40,000.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide professional and practical HR advice to line managers across the full employee lifecycle.
• Provide support and guidance on employee relations matters, including absence management, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
• Support recruitment activity, including interviews and onboarding.
• Process employee changes and maintain accurate HR system records.
• Coordinate and attend meetings with recognised trade unions.
• Build effective working relationships with managers and employees across all levels of the organisation.
• Provide timely and commercially focused HR advice in line with company policies and employment legislation.

About you:

• Experienced HR Advisor with a strong background in employee relations.
• Previous interim experience, with the ability to quickly understand the organisation and make an immediate contribution.
• Confident advising and supporting managers across a range of HR matters.
• Trade union experience is desirable but not essential.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider HR team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with colleagues at all levels.
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing business requirements.
